ADDITIONAL ACE SHIPMENT REQUEST FORM
USE THIS FORM FOR ENTRY INTO USA – ADDITIONAL OR ADVANCE SHIPMENTS
This form may be used to send eManifest Service Centre your ACE shipment information when you have more than three shipments on your truck. This form may also be used to send eManifest Service Centre advance shipment information. If you have many shipments but do not have them assigned to a specific truck, use this form to send emanifest single shipment information in advance. Then, when your truck is loaded you can send us a separate email indicating all the shipments on the truck, we can add them to your emanifest and send you your cover sheet. This will increase efficiency and save time as you won’t have to wait for the shipment information to be entered and you will get your cover sheet sooner.
Sometimes the Shipper can be confused with the Carrier. The Carrier is the company that is actually hauling the shipment. The Shipper is usually the location in Canada where the shipment originated or was picked up. It is possible for the Carrier and the Shipper to be the same. For example, if a company is hauling its own product it would be acting as the Carrier and Shipper. The Consignee is usually the location in the United States where this shipment will be dropped. When entering these fields it is advisable that this information agrees with the customs broker documents. Enter the complete name and address with postal/zip code as found on the proforma and/or customs invoices for both the Shipper and Consignee.
The cargo description should be “a plain language description of the cargo sufficient to identify it for customs purposes.” It must be a clear and concise description; the description should be in plain language and detailed enough to allow the CBP officer to identify the size, shape and characteristics of the cargo. However, information not relevant to the cargo description (e.g. quantity, type of packaging, carrier disclaimers, etc.), should not be transmitted in the cargo description field.
Any non-compliance with requirements, including the provision of the detailed cargo description, may result in delays and increased examinations of shipments to the USA.
