ACI eManifest is Canada’s version of the United States’ ACE eManifest program. While slightly different in functionality the concept is the same. Highway carriers must electronically submit trip and cargo data to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) at least one hour before arriving at the border. As part of the Advanced Commercial Information (ACI) program, eManifest will bring Canada in compliance with North American and International customs standards. ACI eManifest will also benefit Canadians by helping to identify potential health, safety and security threats. Carriers and the business community as a whole, are benefited by ACI eManifest with reduced border crossing times while increasing safety via improved inspection processes. ACI eManifest is the tool that provides electronic pre-arrival information to CBSA Border Service Officers, helping them make important and timely risk management assessments.
