ACE eMANIFEST REQUEST FORM

Use This Form for Entry into the United States.
Supplied information will be immediately uploaded to Customs Border and Protection (CBP). Please ensure all information is accurate and complete. Spending a few minutes to ensure accuracy may save hours at the border. The following information contains instructions and tips for accurately completing your ACE eManifest Request form:
Border Crossing Details
To access your account we need to know your company name and the Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC) registered with CBP that corresponds to that company. It is recommended that you provide the name and phone number of the best person to contact should additional information or clarification be required. Drivers are required to present an ACE Electronic Manifest cover or lead sheet to the CBP Border Services Officer upon arrival at the American border.
It is important to enter a USA Port of Arrival that is equipped to process your trip. Although eManifest is available at most CBP ports, not all ports can process all commercial loads and not all ports are open 24 hours. If your shipment needs to be x-rayed or be further inspected you should use a larger port. Also, let your customs broker know what port you will be crossing at.
Only one ACE eManifest may be issued per crossing. An ACE eManifest may have multiple shipments. This form only has provisions for three shipments. If you have more than three shipments indicate the total number of shipments and complete the ACE Shipment Only form found under the Forms tab on our Home Page for each shipment. By indicating the total number of shipments we will know to look for them. To determine how many shipments you have please see the FAQ “How do I know how many shipments I have?”
Sometimes the Shipper can be confused with the Carrier. The Carrier is the company that is actually hauling the shipment. The Shipper is usually the location in Canada where the shipment originated or was picked up. It is possible for the Carrier and the Shipper to be the same. For example if a company is hauling its own product it would be acting as the Carrier and Shipper. The Consignee is usually the location in the United States where this shipment will be dropped. When entering these fields it is advisable that this information agrees with the customs broker documents. Enter the complete name and address with postal/zip code as found on the proforma and/or customs invoices for both the Shipper and Consignee.
The Shipment Control Number (also known as a PAPS number) is a unique number used to identify the shipment. It is important that both eManifest Service Centre and the customs broker enter the exact same identifying number. If either entry is off by even one character/digit the documents will not match, which could result in delays at the border and possible fines.
